Little Ones Child Care Learning Center was established in 1999. I have over 30 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I have run my in-home childcare without any assistance for the last 25 years and without a single violation. I decided to start my in-home childcare to be home with my daughter and provide for her as a single parent. I knew I loved children and realized she needed some playmates, so I started what seemed the never-ending process to get licensed. I love children and most days I feel like I communicate better with them then I do adults.

 

Children bring so much love and happiness into our world. They are our most prized possessions. I have loved my job, and it shows with all the things I do for my families and their children.  It takes an incredibly special person to be a childcare provider and I can honestly say I have a passion for it.

 

As soon as I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to do something with children and was offered a nanny position. I accepted and relocated to out of state at the age of 18 to take care of two children and before I knew it, I was running their whole household. 

 

Over the years I have had the pleasure to work with so many loving families and their children and have remained in contact with most of them to this day. I have experience working with families in the foster care system and I have been fortunate enough to care for children who have needed a little extra care. I welcome all families to interview.

I am licensed and credentialed through the Maryland State Department of Education at an Administrator Level. I have achieved a Quality Rated Program status through Maryland Excels, which both are voluntary. I have mentored others in becoming childcare providers. Little Ones Child Care Learning Center provides a curriculum that can be individualized to each child's needs. My in-home childcare is located on 4 acres with beautiful views and gardens in Frederick County. I have outside play areas designated just for the children. When weather permits, we spend a lot of time outdoors.

 

My learning center is exceptionally clean and extremely organized. I offer a friendly, loving, caring, fun, safe and nurturing environment and I provide home cooked nutritious meals.

We do lots of crafts and activities.

 

I have created an atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore, learn, experiment, socialize and be creative while having fun at their own pace.

 

My curriculum centers around the philosophy that children learn by playing and in doing so they experience, social, emotional, physical, and creative growth.

 

I offer an atmosphere in which they are encouraged to try new things, stimulate their desire to take on new challenges and feel free to explore. All children in attendance are invited to engage at their developmental level.

 

My childcare actives to name a few include art, music, creative movement, and dramatic play.

I build opportunities for developing reading readiness, teaching the alphabet, writing their own names and site word memorization. I also introduce colors, numbers, shapes, handwriting activities, as well as basic math skills.

 

Children in my care will be given the guidance needed in order to learn knowledge and to grow through my beneficial ways of teaching. Children will be taught creative ways to explore, problem solve and to become independent.
